food is consistent & quality.... bit pricey , typical nyc hot plate/salad by the pound pricing.. all the 1& 2 star reviews are because of slow service .. cut them some slack. It's not a restaurant where they're getting tipped. It's a minimum wage deli job. so yeah people probably aren't gonna jump through hoops if you're rude to them first or demand something. And if you complain about junkies being out front and give poor reviews, shame on you every f@&$ing business and resident has to deal with the never ending madness. someone tried to snatch my phone off a table at a Michelin star restaurant in the village last month. not establishments fault

Nice hot bar with tons of options. I had the green beans, steamed broccoli, roasted cauliflower and teriyaki chicken. Chicken was tender and juicy and the vegetables were cooked very well. Enjoyed this quick bite. The cafe area is a little uncomfortable but functional. Would come back again.

one of my fav lunch bars in the city. food doesn't look nor taste dried up like most of the expensive food bars out there do. this container cost me about $10 including a drink. ambiance is spacious & never a line when i'm there! at night sushi is 30% off

Cafe Hestia, No Hesitation. Recommended by several office mates, so gave it a whirl. I have been here a few times, and all has been fairly pleasing. The cafe has a serve yourself hot table and cold table. There is a sushi section, soup section, shelves of snacks, and a made to order counter. Behind the counter, you have a huge selection of items you can request from sandwiches to ramen. The prices are reasonable and my orders have been solid selections. I usually go to use the buffett table for lunch when all the food is freshly prepared. Will definitely return for breakfast or lunch while at work.

How is this not 5-star!? Some of the best pasta bolognese ever! Not to mention an epic chicken panini, desserts, & more. Great service, staff & location. Tons of seats inside for a good atmosphere

This is a nice clean deli with multiple prep stations. They have a slew of Korean, Thai, Japanese dishes. An Italian pasta station. Burgers and grilled sandwiches. So many choices, prepared to order. I've tried the pad thai and the bulgogi so far, both good, though not as good as in a dedicated thai or Korean restaurant.

Penn Station is under major refurbishment, so eating there is not much of an option. When I go to the city in the morning, Cafe Hestia is often my first stop - a 10 minute walk up 7th Avenue. There are lots of hot and cold buffets in the city, but this is the only one I know that has a full service breakfast buffet, and it is wonderful. Fresh fruits and berries, sausages, many kinds of potatoes, egg dishes, and a wonderfully full pan of guacamole. The decor is a treat to the eye, and there is always adequate seating. The prices are fine - I always spend over 10 dollars when I choose everything that appeals to me. Nothing here not to love.
